GM Pits Dealers Against One Another

In early July, the General Motors National Dealer Council sent a letter to their remaining dealers, urging them to sign onto the letter which opposes H.R. 2743: The Automobile Dealer Economic Rights Restoration Act of 2009. I am a cosponsor of this legislation, along with 241 other members of Congress who are pursuing this bill so that the closed GM dealers can have their economic rights restored. Essentially, the dealers that have been spared are being urged to shut down the dealers slated for closure once and for all.
