Tea Party Caucus

I formed the Tea Party Caucus in the House of Representatives in July 2010 because Congress had strayed from the fundamental principles of the Constitution and was not listening to the American people. The Tea Party Caucus was launched as a means for everyday Americans to express their views to Members of Congress.

During the 2010 elections the American people spoke out clearly. They had enough of the reckless spending and vast government overreach coming from Washington. The American people called on Congress to adhere to the founding principles that we have sworn to uphold.

With the start of the 112th Congress in 2011 the mission of the Tea Party Caucus has begun anew.

I want to invite you to check this page for updates on the Tea Party Caucus, so you can encourage your Representative to join us for these important meetings.

In conjunction with the fundamental, first principles that drive the Tea Party Caucus, I’ve also been privileged to host Constitutional Seminars with speakers like Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and Hillsdale College President Dr. Larry Arnn. They have spoken about issues that are central to our understanding of the Constitution.
