Bachmann Enjoys Coffee with Constituents in Monticello

Feb 5, 2013

On February 2, I had a wonderful visit with constituents in Monticello. Thank you to everyone who took time out of your busy schedules to come meet with me at Caribou Coffee. It is very important to me to hear constituents' comments and concerns, and I valued this opportunity to talk to so many.

It was wonderful to see many new faces, as well as State Rep. Marion O’Neill and members of the city council, fire department and sheriff’s department. The economy, Second Amendment rights, and the impact of Obamacare on the medical device industry were prevalent topics of concern for attendees, who worried about the effect of current policies on their families and small businesses.

From retirees to young children, I consider the impact every vote has on the people of Central Minnesota. It’s a responsibility I take very seriously, and I am working every day to make life more affordable for Minnesota families.

I will be hosting more of these coffee events in cities across the Sixth District. On February 9, I will be in Watertown, MN at the Luce Line Lodge from 1:00-1:45pm. I hope to see you there! For more information on Coffee with your Congresswoman, click here
